Introducing Chelsea focus month
This week we’re proud to shine a light on Morley’s Chelsea Centre for the Creative Industries, and especially our innovative 2021 curriculum offer for emerging creatives from schools, colleges and industry.
Take a look at our “Week in Chelsea” scrapbook for more about the Centre.
PS. if you’re interested in short courses for adults in everything from Interior Design to Specialist Millinery, make sure you browse our wide range of courses starting in early 2021. And if you’re interested in Higher Education at Morley, click here to take a look at the UCAS website. We’re working on launching more HE options online by the end of 2020.
Courses starting in Autumn 2021 focus on helping you get those all-important creative sector qualifications. If you’re not sure where to start -you just know you’d like a career in the creative world – our ‘creative discovery’ course will help you find your path.
As you move up the levels, you can specialise – in art, design or media. Whichever pathway you choose, you can expect a uniquely Morley experience delivered in an environment that has an exciting art-school feel.
“Each course you choose has a specific connection to the creative industries, but the way we teach it is fluid, collaborative and responsive. That means that just like the industry the game designers will develop alongside 3D modellers; fashion students will look to painters & printmakers for inspiration; and digital artists will collaborate with filmmakers all supported by our industry expert staff. This way of working in a specialist centre, in the heart of London, is what makes the Chelsea Centre for the Creative Industries so special.”Matias Shortcook, Centre Principal
Fashion courses have a long history at our Chelsea Centre, and the Centre itself sits between SW10’s famous fashion hotspots on the Fulham Road and King’s Road.
The Level 4 UAL Foundation Diploma is a fast-paced and challenging year-long course. The programme of study is predominantly experimental; students find their own style by creating work that reflects contemporary professional practice. Many of our graduates go on to find success in highly competitive degree courses. Take a look at our students’ work.
“Our course has a 100% success rate over many years with our talented students progressing to the best fashion universities in Europe, including Central St Martins, Royal Academy Antwerp, Westminster, London College of Fashion & Kingston University. Pathways include Fashion Design, Textiles & Fashion Communications.”Susan Baker, Course Director
