End of Year Textiles and Ceramics Show 2025

This joint exhibition showcases the final projects of Ceramics HND and HNC students alongside Textile Foundation students at Waterloo. The ceramics on display feature innovative approaches to thrown, cast, and hand-built works, while the textiles reflect personal explorations through traditional and experimental techniques. Both groups highlight the individuality, creativity, and growth of students, celebrating the culmination of their two-year journey and the diverse materials, processes, and ideas they’ve mastered.
Exhibition dates:
18 to 28 June

Textiles End of Year Show 2024

This exhibition is a showcase of the textile foundation students’ personal final projects. Each student joins the course with an intention to develop and refine their skill and passion for textiles media. The work on show has been made over the ten-week summer term and are a culmination of two terms of learning and making. Students are supported by specialist tutors, to follow their own pathway and make works using traditional, contemporary and experimental techniques and processes.
‘As the last weeks of the Textiles Foundation come to a close, the studio is a hive of activity. Term 3 rounds off the year with a self-written project brief focusing on an area of interest and skills student have learnt in Term 1 and 2. It’s such a pleasure to take part in the students’ creative journey and to see the ideas of Term 1 and 2 coming to fruition. This year’s group has worked so well together, creating a real sense of support and encouragement. They are a pleasure to teach. I can’t wait to see all the wok in the gallery.’
