What you will learn

During the photo walks you will use your camera and photograph the city exploring natural light and composition. You will photograph at different London locations and each week you will concentrate on different subjects and photographic styles. Our enthusiastic and experienced tutor will share simple but powerful ideas and will offer loads of practical and inspiring tips. You will be taken to some great locations around Southbank, where you will focus on street photography while capturing the moment. On the second session you will photograph nature in Battersea Park, as well as London bridges concentrating on architecture. During the sessions, you will enjoy taking photographs and creating interestingly composed shots with different perspectives. On the first session you will meet at Morley College Waterloo Centre, which will be the starting point for the photo walk.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Use your camera in different modes and achieve well-exposed photographs
  • Produce a range of well composed photos under different lighting conditions
  • Photograph different subjects using different camera techniques
  • Be creative using your camera

    Entry requirements

    In order to join the course, you should have a basic understanding of photography in terms of ISO, shutter speed and aperture.
