This Introduction to Printmaking course is designed as part of a year’s programme but can also be taken individually. You will gain a good overview of the printmaking media and grounding in a range of print techniques such as Monoprint, Drypoint, Collagraph, Linocut and Etching.
You will learn to work in the light and well-equipped studio with specialist facilities and develop ideas and imagery into a portfolio of creative prints. Each printmaking technique is taught by demonstration, one-to-one, feedback and group tutorials, encouraging each student’s personal strengths and interests.
These classes are aimed at beginners, those who wish to re-fresh their printmaking skills and those who have a basic arts experience in any other visual arts discipline.
