What you will learn

These Introduction to Printmaking (Mon-pm) courses are based at Morley College London Chelsea Centre. These courses are designed as part of a year’s programme but can also be taken individually and are a combination of structured teaching and informal workshop time. Printmaking techniques such as Monoprint, Drypoint, Etching, Linocut, Collagraph, etc. will be covered throughout the year as not all techniques can be delivered during each individual course.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Develop ideas and imagery into a portfolio of creative prints.
  • You will gain a good overview of the printmaking media and grounding in a range of print techniques.

Class format and activities

You will learn to work in the light and well-equipped studio with specialist facilities. Each printmaking technique is taught by demonstration, one-to-one, feedback and group tutorials, encouraging each student’s personal strengths and interests.
