At Morley College London we deliver a wide range of technical and creative, daytime and evening courses in all areas of Music Technology and Production. From Ableton to Logic, Mixing and Mastering to Sound Art, Live Sound to Radio Production, we offer a variety of courses and qualifications, from introductory evening courses to HND level professional training.

This, and our industry standard studios and equipment, create the ideal environment for you to develop cutting edge skills.

Morley’s Music Technology students have access to a music production suite, DJ suite, and a state-of-the-art radio and recording studios. Students who study Music Technology courses at Morley have the opportunity to take part in recording sessions at Morley Studio, live gigs, exhibitions and performance opportunities at Morley Gallery, IKLECTIK Art Lab, and The Horse and Stables.

In addition to this, students take part of clinics and workshops with high profile musicians, engineers, and producers. Recent visiting artists have included multi-Grammy Award winning band Snarky Puppy, Mark Lettieri, Bill Laurance,  Peter Gregson, Joel Cadbury.

Recording Studio

The Recording Studio at Morley is a state-of-the-art recording facility located in the heart of central London, 10 minutes from London Waterloo.

Equipment

The recording studio is equipped with the highest quality analogue and digital equipment including a Pro Tools HDX system, Avid C24 digital console, 5.1 Adam surround system, Neve, Avalon, Universal Audio and A-Designs Pacifica preamps, Universal Audio and DBX compressors, Neumann, Royer, AKG, Shure, Earthworks microphones, Waves, Sound Toys, Audio Ease Altiverb, and UAD plug-ins.

The studio is connected to multiple spaces, via our Focusrite RedNet system, to allow the flexibility necessary to record a variety of ensembles and styles, including live performances of large ensembles, with a medium-sized live room equipped with a Yamaha C3X grand piano, Gretsch, Pearl and Sonor drumkits, vocal/drum booth, plus two additional large live rooms/concert spaces equipped with a Steinway concert grand, Yamaha and Boston pianos.

These facilities are available to students on our Music Technology courses. Tutors and current students on many of our music performance courses can also take advantage of these facilities.
