For beginners who want to develop their singing voice. Establish vocal technique, confidence and independence. You will also learn to use the voice in a variety of styles and situations. For relative beginners, who feel they can sing in tune, but have no prior experience in voice training studies.
This course combines vocal and physical warm-up exercises with learning and singing a selection of songs provided by the tutor, as well as individual coaching on songs chosen by yourself. Material, such as song lyrics and backing tracks, will be provided electronically by the tutor. In order to ensure that you make the best possible progress on your course, you will have regular and detailed feedback from your tutor, in a constructive and supportive environment. Achievement on your course will be measured by your progress towards achieving the learning outcomes will be reviewed throughout the course. At the start of the course you will have an opportunity to discuss these with your tutor and set your own personal targets, linked to the learning outcomes and future goals i.e.: progression to another course.
Demonstrate ability to pitch notes within existing vocal range, and relative confidence singing in front of others. This is a course for beginners who already feel they can pitch tunes correctly, and they wish to build systematic vocal technique, and basic interpretation skills.
This course is for beginners wishing to develop their singing ability in a supportive environment and without the pressure of solo singing.
You will need to bring along resources provided by the tutor ahead of each session. Help and guidance will be provided by the tutor at the start of the course.
