What you will learn

This course will teach you how to use HTML to create and update simple web pages using the free code editor Notepad++. You will learn how web sites are created and maintained and you will learn to control the appearance of a web page using CSS.

    You will follow HTML and CSS demonstrations by a tutor, complete practical coding tasks with support and be able to ask questions and receive feedback.

    Entry requirements

    This course is aimed at beginners to HTML5 & CSS.You should have knowledge of: basic file management (opening, saving, copying and moving files on a computer), using the World Wide Web (www), using a simple Word Processor or text editor. You should also be able to follow spoken and written instructions and add, subtract, multiply and divide.

    What you need to know before you enrol

    You must make sure you can commit for the whole duration of the courses. Regular attendance is important.

    You need to be digital skills enthusiast. Also have a USB/Memory stick and a folder. Pens and paper will be required. You will need an access to a computer at home and do some independent work.
