What you will learn

Join us on a Saturday at The Morley College Ceramic Studio and make your own creation in clay. These fun and relaxing workshops will be guided by Yuki Nakamura, an experienced professional ceramic artist. The Family, Friends, and Couples Ceramic Workshop offers a unique and engaging experience for people to come together and explore exciting ceramics. Thhis workshop emphasizes a supportive and inclusive environment, where creativity is nurtured, and individual expression is celebrated. This workshop is for everyone and caters for a variety of skill levels, ages, and techniques. During this course, you will explore various hand-building methods, work with glazing and surface decoration, and collaborate as a family under the guidance of experienced instructors. Your creation will be glazed and fired by our studio and ready for collection in 3-4 weeks. The price includes one fee-paying adult and one free child (12 and under). For additional children, a further enrolment must be added and paid for. To ensure a safe amount of students are enrolled, there is one free child per fee-paying adult. If enrolling as a couple or a family, each adult will need to enrol and pay separately.

    What you need to know before you enrol

    The price includes one fee-paying adult and one free child. For additional children, a further enrolment must be added and paid for. To ensure a safe amount of students are enrolled, there is one free child per fee-paying adult. Studio safety must always be a priority. Students will learn the importance of using appropriate protective gear, mastering basic tools and equipment, and maintaining a clean and efficient workspace. In this dynamic and collaborative learning environment, students will have the freedom to express their ideas, make mistakes, and engage in constructive feedback. Ceramic items will be fired and glazed by our team for collection at a later date.
