What you will learn

Draping is a creative way of pattern cutting that starts with modelling cloth directly on the stand. It nurtures 3D thinking and is a different entry point into making patterns for those looking at a more responsive approach, or those who prefer an alternative to traditional paper based cutting methods. Draping is an important part of the design process and it is a useful method to widen your knowledge of design, shapes and proportions. A different theme will be taught each term. Each term exists as a separate course and can be taken as such or you may wish to enrol more than once to build your knowledge and skills to a more advanced level. Autumn Term skirts, Spring term tops and just in time for Summer term dresses.
