Twined basketry uses soft materials – two active weavers are woven around vertical warps, or stakes. You can use a wide range of materials, from natural cordage and vines to wire and baler twine. Weaving can be close, which produces a strong, durable basket, or more open, which results in a more open, flexible construction. You can also create pattern by changing colour.
