In class, you will learn through demonstrations and practical work. There will be demonstration, group discussion and one-to-one tuition. You will also have detailed feedbacks from your tutor in a constructive and supportive environment. In order to ensure that you make the best possible progress on your course, you will have regular feedback from your tutor, in a constructive and supportive environment.
No. This course is suitable for beginners or as a refresher if you have done some bookbinding before. It is ideal for people who have an interest in arts and crafts and would like to gain good hand skills in bookbinding.

If you have any physical issues with working in a standing position, please discuss before enrolling the course.
What you need
If you have them: notebook, pencil, rubber, metal ruler, craft knife, bone folder, scissors. There will be an opportunity to buy materials and tools needed at the first and subsequent classes. Tutor will give advice on things you may need.

Own project. More beginner's bookbinding courses. After discussion with your tutor, you may join intermediate bookbinding courses. Or in another subjects, which you could combine with bookbinding skills, such as printmaking, painting, photography, Adobe InDesign.
