  • Advanced Ballet / Advanced + Beginners' or Intermediate Pointe

    This course offers two options: 1. A technique class for advanced students with a minimum of five years recent experience of classical ballet (1.5 hours); 2. Following the technique class, either an additional safe introduction to pointe work (0.5 hours) or an additional intermediate level pointe work session (0.5 hours).

    A safe introduction to pointe work technique for advanced students with a minimum of five years recent experience of classical ballet.   • Advanced Ballet with Intermediate Pointe

    Focus is on developing strength, movement and vocabulary in this advanced level class which incorporates intermediate pointe work. Participation requires a minimum of five years recent experience of classical training and three years recent experience of pointe training.   • African Caribbean Dance: Improvers

    Leading on from the introduction course, a development of the techniques and styles of African-Caribbean dance choreographed into a piece for the Summer Dance Concert.

    Newcomers as well as seasoned tangueros wishing to improve are welcome to this mixed level class, you will be working with partners of either gender to maximise progress. Taking part in an end of year public performance is an option.

    A class for older, experienced dancers who want to enjoy ballet technique in a way that emphasises the elegance and artistry that comes with age. You will practice a thorough barre, adage and allegro tailored to your ability.

  • Ballet: Advanced

    Further develop your classical technique, style and precision, musicality and ballet vocabulary.     A reasonable level of fitness is required to gradually build up stamina and strength as you work on technique and increase your ballet vocabulary. Students should have completed a Ballet: Introduction course within the last year.
