Debbie Ryle

Debbie started her career in education over 25 years ago in South Africa, teaching basic skills English and maths to factory staff. She moved to the UK in 1999 and started teaching in the UK as an ESOL tutor. Since then she has worked in adult education, further education and offender learning. She is an experienced teaching practitioner who has taught ESOL, EFL and English in a variety of settings from pre-entry to Level 2.  

 Debbie has a first degree in English Literature, and several Postgraduate Qualifications related to teaching and teacher training. She also has a Level 4 Apprenticeship, in Quality Management.  She believes in the transformative power of education and in empowering students to achieve and improve their skills for higher education and work. She joined Morley in 2017 as Programme Manager for English and has since them changed roles, and is currently in Quality & Standards as the Head of Performance Review and Enhancement. Debbie also works as a part-time Ofsted inspector (Further Education and Skills).
