Makers of Morley 2025

Makers of Morley is a showcase of the fabulous creations by makers here at Morley College London.

Throughout May we’ll showcase a wide range of high-quality student artwork across a broad range of disciplines from textiles to glass-making, ceramics to jewellery and uncover the process of making.

Makers of Morley includes our flagship MADE exhibition – taking place at Morley Gallery – but you’re also invited to explore exhibitions happening across the college, including in the Waterloo Centre’s Barry Till, Cardew and Foyer galleries, and at our North Kensington and Chelsea Centres too.

During May we’ll also be introducing you to new and innovative artists and makers who have studied here or are working in partnership with us.

MADE 2025 – SOMETHING OF IMPORTANCE

Morley Gallery – 23 June – 12 June

Made 2025:  Bookbinding, Printmaking, Sculpture and Textiles celebrates the talent and achievement of Morley College’s adult learners.  Students were invited to consider the UN Sustainable Development Goals or their own interpretations re ‘Something of Importance’ in the work that they produce.

MADE reflects the diversity of work produced by using a variety of materials, techniques and approaches. The work will range in size from handheld bronze and wood carved sculptures, small handmade books and mosaics to large hung Textiles, framed prints and metal constructions to name a few of the process and materials.

Glass work by student

Colours and Light 2025

Top Tower Room, Waterloo Centre – 5 – 23 May

This is an exhibition of the work by the Waterloo Stained Glass students.

It shows work made by the full range of students, from beginners in their first term through to those with many years of experience. Students choose their own designs – some for their own doors and windows – or for those of friends and family.  Some make more stand-alone pieces for decoration. Occasionally, some will be paid for a commission.

The craftspeople of today and the future are working in these classes.
