What’s an HNC equivalent to?

The first year at university (a level 4 qualification). You can enter a bachelor’s degree at Year 2 once you complete an HNC.

What’s an HND equivalent to?

Two years at university (a level 5 qualification). You can enter a bachelor’s degree at Year 3 upon completion.

Benefits of an HNC or HND

These are both practical-based qualifications and are perfect if you know what career you want to get into. Once you’re ready to switch to a bachelor’s degree, you will already have the foundations of the degree in place.
