What you will learn

This introductory course is for anyone with an interest in how an understanding of science can help with the learning and development of dance. You will learn how key physics principles can be used to understand key skills such as balancing, spinning and jumping.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Define dance science as a field of study
  • Understand key physics concepts behind dance
  • Understand how balance is maintained
  • Understand how dizziness can be controlled
  • List the beneficial effects of dance

    A series of fun and engaging sessions. You will learn through practical activities, demonstrations, group work. videos and discussion.In order to ensure that you make the best possible progress on your course, you will have regular and detailed feedback from your tutor, in a constructive and supportive environment.
