This course focuses on the fundamentals of mould making, emphasizing material properties, undercuts, and the step-by-step process of creating effective moulds for slip casting. Students will learn to design and construct open-face and two-part moulds while developing a deep understanding of plaster. Through hands-on practice, they will explore techniques to manage undercuts, achieve precise moulds, and refine their slip-casting skills. The course integrates eco-conscious approaches, encouraging the use of recycled materials and waste reduction methods to support a more sustainable creative practice.
