Learn the core skills needed to set-up and run a live PA system. Build a firm understanding of the basics of audio and signal paths, from microphone to loudspeaker including: inserts, sends and returns, FXs, monitor mixes, miking techniques, balanced and unbalanced systems, and much more. You will also get to set-up and run a PA at a live gig.

A strong interest in music and audio equipment
Handling and lifting of audio equipment such as microphone stands, cables, speakers and mixer consoles are an essential part of this class. Advice on safe handling of equipment will be given at the beginning of the course. Due to the nature of the instruments/content of the course you might be exposed to high volume levels. We strongly encourage everyone to bring a pair of ear plugs to every lesson.
