This piano course introduces techniques for playing in a variety of styles, interpreting chord symbols and applying new voicings. Suitable for students with some experience of piano, this hands-on class will use demonstrations and workshops to develop your ear as well as your keyboard skills.

Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Learn to play some classic pop, rock and soul songs
- Understand chord symbols and gain a working knowledge of basic harmony
- Build chords into chord sequences using different voicings
- Play grooves in a range of styles whilst developing good rhythm and coordination
- Develop your ability to play by ear

Listening to tutor explanation and demonstrations, Group tuition, Group performance, Playing to and with others in the class. In order to ensure that you make the best possible progress on your course, you will receive regular feedback in a constructive and supportive environment.
Entry requirements
You should be a confident beginner, with some experience of playing the piano or keyboard already and knowledge of basic chords.
