This free module comprises of two units from the Pearson HND in Leadership and Management (HTQ). The first unit is Management of Human Resources which will enable students to understand and apply principles of HRM to enhance sustainable organisational performance and contribute to organisational success, holding business outcomes and people outcomes in equal measures. The second unit is Leadership and Management which will help students to understand the difference between the function of a manager and the role of a leader.
Students will gain a wide range of knowledge in these sector-specific skills tied to practical skills gained through research, independent study, directed study and workplace scenarios. Students are involved in vocational activities that help them to develop vocational behaviours and transferable skills. Students will be able to develop and apply their own ideas to their studies, to deal with uncertainty and complexity, to explore solutions, demonstrate critical evaluation and use both theory and practice in a wide range of business situations.
On achievement of the module, students will receive a Pearson certificate at Level 4 for the units completed as well as up to 30 UCAS credits.
