Pearson BTEC Level 2 First Extended Certificate in Information and Creative Technology. It is the main qualification as part of a study programme. You will be expected to study English and Maths as part of your study programme. If you have not yet achieved a grade 4 at GCSE (C) you will expected to enrol onto an appropriate English and /or Maths course at GCSE or Functional Skills dependent upon your entry grade and/or initial assessment. Specific aims of the BTEC First Extended Certificate in Information and Creative Technology are to: Allow learners to specialise in Information and Creative Technology or to deepen their understanding through the provision of a broad range of optional specialist units. Provide a comprehensive and challenging programme of study related to Information and Creative Technology, suited to post-16 learners who have the relevant interest and aptitude. Give learners the potential opportunity to progress to employment or to employment in a wide range of job roles across the Information and Creative Technology sector, for example in roles such as software engineer, website content manager, computer animator, helpdesk support, and graphic designer.
