This course is for students who completed Minna no Nihongo Book 1 and some of Book 2. Students will continue to learn new sentence structures using Minnna no Nihongo Book 2. This will build your confidence in Japanese grammar and speaking skills.

What you will learn
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- indicate someone performing two actions at the same time
- show the state resulting from the action indicated by the verb is still continuing
- emphasises that the action has been completed
- learn JLPT N4 level Kanji

Class format and activities
The course will be delivered using spoken and written forms, and other tools including PowerPoint slides and interactive presentation. The teacher also uses colleges online learning platform Microsoft Teams. During the lesson students will interact using group or pair work, quizzes, games etc. Achievement on your course will be measured by whether you meet the learning outcomes above. At the start of the course, you will have an opportunity to discuss these with your tutor and set your own personal targets, linked to the learning outcomes and future goals.
Entry requirements
You should have completed the grammar points of Minna no Nihongo Book 1 and some of Book 2 . You should read and write approx. 200 Kanji. You should also be able to listen to and understand slow speed conversations encountered in daily life.

Excellent attendance and punctuality is required from all students. This course requires study/completion of activities outside of class. You will be expected to access online resource to do your weekly homework.
