What you will learn

Consolidate your Intermediate level of French in a friendly and interactive class. Study the language in depth, and explore aspects of the culture of French-speaking communities through group discussion. This course is suitable for those with an intermediate level of French, or a rusty GCSE, who wish to brush up and reinforce their knowledge (Level B1-2). The course will focus on communication skills, especially speaking with others in class. We will study from different sources including authentic material. Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Read texts from different sources, extract relevant information and acquire more vocabulary and expressions
  • Discuss and give your opinion on different topics, including places of interest, aspects of culture such as art, cuisine etc.
  • Listen to short conversations and improve your understanding
  • Write emails, letters and short stories, asking for goods and services or giving opinions on specific topics

Class format and activities

Practise speaking, listening, reading and writing. Complete grammar exercises but also practice grammar speaking. Revise topics from previous learning and expand. Learn some cultural aspects of France and other French speaking countries. Study some regions and popular places

This course is aimed at students who have studied French for 2 years or equivalent
