By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Explore, develop and discuss themes and analyse characters
  • Explore develop and discuss the distinctive use of language, style and register
  • Increase confidence by developing analytical, collaborative and independent learning skills
  • Discuss these with your tutor and set your own personal targets, linked to the learning outcomes and future goals i.e.: progression to the next stage

Class format and activities

The course will be conducted in French and delivered face-to-face.You will engage in research and active participation .You will evaluate and critically interpret texts studied in their context. To ensure that you make the best possible progress on your course, you will have regular feedback from your tutor, in a constructive and supportive environment.

Entry requirements

Good command of French and English, Interview with tutor prior to enrolment advisable (contact Department).

Excellent attendance and punctuality is required from all students.This course requires some additional study outside of class time.
