Screen Printing also known as Silkscreen or Serigraphy is a printmaking technique where the image outcome is controlled by various stencilling and resist applications. The image is created by pushing ink with a squeegee through a mesh that is attached to a screen. This introductory screen printing course is suitable for beginners and intermediate students. This hands-on course is eight weeks long and is repeated throughout the year.
You will create screen prints by using various stencilling techniques for screen printing including paper stencils, digital stencils and by directly drawing onto the screen’s mesh. You will be introduced to screen printing step by step, by demonstration and one-to-one feedback where each student’s personal strengths and interests are developed. Final prints can be submitted for our Exhibition in July when we enjoy a lively Private View to celebrate the work created during the year on all our courses.
The course is suitable for beginners and more advanced student.
