There are other versions of this course available. We’ve listed them below and summarized the differences between the one that you are currently viewing.
From exploring both Eastern and Western drawing methods, we will delve into various approaches to observe and illustrate personal interior or exterior spaces. Using both mixed media and printmaking techniques, you will build an archive of work. This collection will serve as a foundation to learn bookbinding techniques, tools, materials, and methods. As you draw inspiration from your subjects and develop your visual identity, our final books may take on new and imaginative forms. These sessions welcome participants of all levels, offering creative and alternative methods in bookbinding and mark-making.
There will be demonstration, group discussion, one to one tuition and practical project work. In order to ensure that you make the best possible progress on your course, you will have regular feedback from your tutor, in a constructive and supportive environment.
No previous knowledge of bookbinding is required. This class is a great introduction to making books.
