This 5-week course is designed for those who would like to learn slipcasting techniques?and make their own plaster mould. ?You will learn How to mix up coloured casting slip with stains, layer or mix colours to create a marbled effect, how to incorporate slipcasting techniques with handbuilding. how to use the casting slip to create patterns and finish with a simple transparent glaze.

Entry requirements
this is for people with some mould making experience or who own moulds and would like to know how to use them in different ways.
What you need to know before you enrol
Excellent attendance and punctuality are required from all students, you need to be able to join all three sessions to get the most out of this course. We make a £3 per kilo charge for clay, which includes the bisque and glaze firing. This will be in the HND ceramics studio which is on the 3rd floor and there is lift access.?
What you need
Pen and notebook, clothes you do not mind getting dirty, closed toe shoes. Please bring any clay tools you have, however, there will be pottery tools available to use on the course, there are also beginners packs to buy at the college if you would like your own.??
