Kate Wilson joined Morley College in September 2015 as Programme Manager for Painting, Drawing & Art and Design History. As well as painting, exhibiting and writing, she has taught art to adults for many years and was programme manager for Jewellery and Sculpture at City Lit from 2002 - 2014.
Kate studied painting at Winchester School of Art and the Royal Academy Schools. Winner of the Royal Academy Gold Medal and the Bateson Mason
Drawing Award, she received an Andre de Segonzac scholarship to study in Italy.
Recent projects include a commission to paint two panels for the baptistery of St Winefride’s RC Church, Wimbledon and her book Drawing and Painting: Materials and Techniques for Contemporary Artists, published by Thames and Hudson in February 2015.
