Studying at Morley offers a unique opportunity to explore the world of music. Here you will find courses on folk music, jazz singing, harpsichord and Pro-Tools, as well as classes on music reading ,theory and history.
You can also audition for the celebrated Morley Opera School – a high-level performance course with coaches from leading international opera houses - as well as record live jazz in our state-of-the-art recording studio.
We offer courses in sound engineering and recording techniques, software platforms, composition theory and sound design; and a new digital piano studio providing a piano per student on beginner to intermediate level piano classes.
Music at Morley has a long and distinguished history, with accomplished composers, vocalists and instrumentalists amongst our list of current and previous tutors, including Gustav Holst, Sir Michael Tippett, Cornelius Cardew, John Gardner, Anthony Milner, Matyas Seiber and Ralph Vaughan Williams to name but a few.
You can:
- play in a group,
- learn to DJ,
- make tracks with Logic,
- learn an instrument or sing with the choir
- ...and much more.
There are many opportunities for performance and, for those wishing to go on to study music at university, we offer a successful one-year Access to HE Diploma in music or music technology.
