Health and Social Care is a well-established and ever-expanding aspect of what we do here at Morley. Our students range from those with an interest in personal well-being or those looking to increase their skills to progress their career in the adult care sector.
Morley is a great place to learn and grow; whether you are interested in expanding your knowledge or learning a new skill, this area of study is vast.
Health and Social Care at Morley continues to grow and now includes Social Work, Counselling and Movement (Yoga, Pilates and Fitness). Our students range from those with an interest in personal well-being or those looking to increase their skills to progress their career in the adult care sector.
Our introductory courses give you the opportunity to study over 1 term, without having to make the commitment to a year-long course. You can apply for our Advanced level courses, which run over 1 or 2 years, and offer the opportunity to apply to university or for a promotion at work.
Whatever course you choose, our staff are here we are here to help you on your own unique journey.
An expanding area at Morley for learners who are currently working in the sector and wish to improve their qualifications to progress in the work setting or university. There are also classes for students who wish to learn more about the area or potential work and need qualifications.
Learners enrol on counselling courses for a range of reasons. Some people want to dip their toes in the water, learning skills that will help them in everyday life and others need to obtain specific qualifications to become counsellors. We have a range of courses running over a few weeks’ as introductions to areas, right through to becoming fully qualified run your own private practice. We also run bespoke business planning courses to help you set up your own counselling business.
Currently, we run a range of course for semi and retired local residents. Many of our learners return year on year due to the high-quality teaching, dedicated commitment of our tutors and enjoyment of the classes. It is also a brilliant social activity to get you moving each week.

Tues 2 September: Entry – L3 Initial Assessment / IAG session
Thurs 5 September: Level 2 Interviews
Thurs 5 September: Level 3 IAG Group day
Fri 6 September: Level 4 HNC IAG group day
