Essential Skills at the Stockwell Centre

Essential Skills at the Lewington Centre

The Lewington Centre is based in Rotherhithe, between Lewisham and Southwark, and offers a range of Essential Skills courses including ESOL, English and maths. Please contact the Lewington Centre directly on 020 7394 6836.

What do I need to bring with me to an Advice and Guidance session?

Students who want to enrol on of one of our Essential Skills courses should bring the following as proof of eligibility as it may be required on assessment day:

Valid passport/visa

Proof of benefits

Proof of low income (less than £330 p/w) - recent bank statements or three pay slips from the last six months.

Please note that our Functional Skills and GCSE English and maths courses are free as long as you have been living in the UK or the EU for the previous 3 years, therefore you do not need to bring proof of eligibility with you.
