ESOL and EFL courses  

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept any new students for term 3. The next available start dates for our ESOL and EFL courses will be in September 2020. To enrol on an ESOL course, you will need to complete an online assessment. Information about the online assessment process will be made available on this page of the website in the coming months. Functional Skills English, Maths and ICT courses 

All Functional Skills English, Maths and ICT courses are now full for this academic year, the next available start dates will be in September 2020. To enrol on a Functional Skills course, you will need to complete an online assessment. Information about the online assessment process will be made available on this page of the website in the coming months.

GCSE English and Maths 

All GCSE English and maths courses are now full, the next available start dates are in September 2020. Further information about our GCSE courses will be released via the website in June. To enrol on a GCSE English or Maths course, you will need to complete an online assessment and have an interview with a tutor. Information about the online assessment process will be made available on this page of the website in the coming months. You can also register your interest by emailing essentialskillsenquiries@morleycollege.ac.uk.

Essential Skills at the Stockwell Centre

There are a small number of Essential Skills courses that take place at the Stockwell Centre. Please email essentialskillsenquiries@morleycollege.ac.uk for further information.

Essential Skills at the Lewington Centre

The Lewington Centre is based in Rotherhithe, between Lewisham and Southwark, and offers a range of Essential Skills courses including ESOL, English and Maths. Please email essentialskillsenquiries@morleycollege.ac.uk for further information.

What do I need to bring with me to an Advice and Guidance session?

Please note that due to the Covid-19 outbreak, it is no longer possible for our Advice and Guidance sessions to take place at the college due to social distancing rules. An online assessment system will be made available in the coming months for those who wish to enrol for Essential Skills courses scheduled to start in September 2020. Please check this page of the website regularly for further details.

Students who want to enrol on of one of our Essential Skills courses should provide the following as proof of eligibility when enrolling:

  • Valid passport/visa
  • Proof of benefits
  • Proof of low income (less than £330 p/w) - recent bank statements or three payslips from the last six months.

Please note that our Functional Skills and GCSE English and maths courses are free as long as you have been living in the UK or the EU for the previous 3 years, therefore you do not need to bring proof of eligibility with you.
