ESOL and EFL courses

The next available start dates for our term-long ESOL and EFL courses are in September 2018. To enrol, please attend one of the Advice and Guidance sessions listed below:

Thursday 6 September 10:00 – 15:00; 17:00 – 20:00
Monday 10 September 11:00 – 15:00; 17:00- 19:00
Tuesday 11 September 11:00 – 12:30; 17:00 – 19:00

There is no need to book in advance.

English, maths (including GCSE) and ICT courses

The next available start dates for our Functional Skills English, maths and ICT courses are in September 2018. To enrol, please attend one of the Advice and Guidance sessions listed below:

Thursday 30 August 10:00 – 14:00; 17:00 – 18:30
Tuesday 4 September 10:00 – 14:00; 17:00 – 18:30

Preparation for Work and Study courses

The next available start dates for our Preparation for Work and Study courses including Teaching Assistant, Childcare, Business Administration and Improve your Reading, Writing and Spelling with Craft for Entry 2 Learners are in September 2018. To enrol, please attend one of the Advice and Guidance sessions listed below:

The next available start dates for the Level 2 Childcare, Teaching Assistant, or Business Administration courses are in September 2018. Please contact the Essential Skills department on 020 7450 1834 or email essentialskills@morleycollege.ac.uk to request an application pack. For further information regarding the Level 2 courses, please attend one of the Advice and Guidance sessions listed above.

The next available start date for the CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator) or the CACHE Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools year-long courses is September 2018; you can apply online now. For further information regarding the Level 3 courses, please attend one of the Advice and Guidance sessions listed above or contact the department.

Essential Skills at the Stockwell Centre

ESOL and EFL Courses:

If you would like to enrol for either the ESOL for Active Citizenship (Pronunciation Workshop) (E1 & 2) course or the EFL Pronunciation Workshop course starting at the Stockwell Centre in September 2018, please call the Essential Skills Administrator on 020 7450 1834.

Essential Skills at the Lewington Centre

The Lewington Centre is based in Rotherhithe, between Lewisham and Southwark, and offers a range of Essential Skills courses including ESOL, English and maths. To find out more and to enrol, please attend one of the Advice and Guidance sessions listed below at the Lewignton Centre site:

Tuesday 11 September 10:00 – 14:00
Wednesday 12 September 10:00 – 14:00
Thursday 13 September 10:00 – 14:00

What do I need to bring with me?

Students who want to enrol on of one of our Essential Skills courses should bring the following as proof of eligibility as it may be required on assessment day:

  • Valid passport/visa
  • Proof of benefits
  • Proof of low income (less than £330 p/w) - recent bank statements or three pay slips from the last six months.

Please note that our Functional Skills and GCSE English and Maths courses are free and therefore you do not need to bring proof of eligibility with you.
