ESOL and EFL courses

The next available start dates for our term-long ESOL and EFL courses are in September 2019. To enrol, please attend one of the Advice and Guidance dates below:

  • Wednesday 4 September 10:00 - 15:00; 17:00 - 19:00
  • Thursday 5 September 10:00 - 15:00; 17:00 - 19:00
  • Tuesday 10 September 10:00 - 15:00; 17:00 - 19:00

There is no need to book in advance.  

Functional Skills English, maths and ICT courses

Essential Skills at the Stockwell Centre

There are a small number of Essential Skills courses that take place at the Stockwell Centre, the next courses are due to start in September 2019. Please attend one of the Advice and Guidance dates below for further information:

  • Thursday 5 September 10:00 - 12:00 (for English, maths and ICT)
  • Monday 9 September 10:00 - 15:00 (for ESOL/EFL)

Essential Skills at the Lewington Centre

The Lewington Centre is based in Rotherhithe, between Lewisham and Southwark, and offers a range of Essential Skills courses including ESOL, English and maths starting in September 2019. To find out more and to enrol, please attend one of the Advice and Guidance sessions below:

  • Tuesday 10 September 10:00 - 14:00 (ESOL only)
  • Wednesday 11 September 10:00 - 14:00 (ESOL only)
  • Thursday 12 September 10:00 - 14:00 (ESOL only)

What do I need to bring with me?

Students who want to enrol on of one of our Essential Skills courses should bring the following as proof of eligibility as it may be required on assessment day:

  • Valid passport/visa
  • Proof of benefits
  • Proof of low income (less than £330 p/w) - recent bank statements or three pay slips from the last six months.

Please note that our Functional Skills and GCSE English and maths courses are free as long as you have been living in the UK or the EU for the previous 3 years,  therefore you do not need to bring proof of eligibility with you.
