My chosen course says I need to complete an audition / assessment / interview before I enrol – what do I do?

Some of our courses require you to complete a form of assessment before you can enrol. If the course you are interested in does require an audition, assessment or interview, please contact the relevant department who will be able to advise you on what is required and when to attend.

Alternatively you can attend the very first class of the term (excluding weekend short courses) to speak to the tutor about your level and take part in the class before deciding to enrol.

My chosen course says I need tutor approval before I can enrol – what does this mean?

Some courses require approval from the course tutor before you enrol. This is to ensure that the course is at an appropriate level for you and that you will get the maximum benefit from it. Some tutors may simply need a quick chat with you, while others may need you to attend an interview or assessment. If you are approved, the tutor will need to sign your enrolment form before you enrol.

Please contact your chosen department for further information.

How much do courses at Morley cost?

Course costs vary – please check the outline of your chosen course for details.

Some students may be eligible for a concessionary or senior fee – please see our Fees and Concessions page for further information. Please note that if you are eligible for a concessionary fee you need to show evidence of this.

Non-EU students are required to pay a higher course fee; this is usually double the figure advertised. Please contact the Enrolment Services team for more information.

For further information about payment methods please visit our Enrolment page.

Is there any financial assistance available?

In addition to the concessionary fees for eligible students we may be able to provide limited financial assistance to certain students on benefits or a low income.

Yes. Gift vouchers can be purchased from our Enrolment Services team and come in £10, £20 and £50.

I’ve enrolled on a course at Morley before – why do I have to fill in another enrolment form and provide my evidence again?

Morley College relies on other sources of funding to help keep courses affordable for our students. It is a requirement of this funding that we keep certain data on all of our enrolling students and that this is kept up to date. You will therefore be asked to complete a form each time you enrol as confirmation of your current details.

However, please note that you can enrol for several courses at once using a single form or online.

My chosen course has already started – can I still enrol?

As a general rule it is not possible to enrol on a course after it has started. This is because you may have missed vital information for the course and it could be a disruption to the course programme.

In exceptional circumstances it may be possible to start a course late, but you must seek tutor approval for this before you enrol. There is normally no reduction in fees available for late enrolment.

What happens if the College cancels a course?

The College is unable to accept liability if it should prove necessary to cancel any proposed programme of study prior to its scheduled start. In the event of such a cancellation, the College will take reasonable steps to transfer your enrolment to a similar or related programme of study, if possible, or offer a full refund of fees.

What if I want to make a complaint?

Most complaints can be resolved quickly and easily by talking to your tutor or the departmental administrator who can forward your complaint to the appropriate member of staff.

Alternatively, if an informal resolution is not possible for whatever reason, you can make a formal complaint using any of the following methods:

Complete a student feedback form at the reception desk.
Email feedback@morleycollege.ac.uk
Write to The Quality Coordinator, Morley College, 61 Westminster Bridge Road, London SE1 7HT
The College takes all complaints seriously and ensures that all investigations will be fair and impartial.

How do I get a refund or change course?

Refunds for courses are not generally offered unless they are requested at least two weeks before the start of the course or in exceptional circumstances. For further information about refunds see our Refunds Policy.

Due to changes in funding and the high cost of administering transfers, we are not able to transfer students between courses once they have commenced, and enrolments cannot be transferred between students.

If you are unsure about the suitability of a course we would strongly recommend you seek advice from the department or try a taster or introductory class before enrolling on a full course.

What do I do if I need to miss a class?

We advise that you try not to miss classes, but if it is unavoidable please contact your department as soon as possible to let them know.
