Morley Gallery Manager Named Curator of the Month
Congratulations to Sim Panaser, our Gallery and Exhibitions Manager, who has been named Curator of the Month by Art Fund.
Sim joined Morley in 2016, and in that time she has overseen an incredible number of exhibitions in both Morley Gallery and the College's other exhibition spaces. Some noteworthy exhibitions we've had in that time have included the Inspired By... exhibition, run in collaboration with the V&A and featuring works of art by adult education students across the UK; Elizabeth Price's video installation "txtʃərz", which was featured as part of our Planets Festival in 2018; and Belonging, the first solo exhibition by British-Nigerian artist Joy Labinjo. She has also overseen several end-of-year exhibitions of work by Morley students, and the annual Made exhibition, which takes place every spring.
"I am passionate about increasing access and engagement with the arts and want to strengthen and cultivate the gallery as an active resource for lifelong learning," she says. "I am particularly interested in the social function of culture and the ways it can change the way we see the world."

Morley Gallery is currently closed for refurbishment but exhibitions continue to run in the Cardew Space, Barry Till Gallery, the Bawden Cases, and the Foyer at our main centre on Westminster Bridge Road. Full details of upcoming exhibitions are available here.
