Morley to Host “Journeys and Destinations” Higher Education Conference
We are excited to announce that we will be hosting our annual adult education conference on Thursday 2 May; the main topic of discussion this year will be widening participation for adult learners who are entering or returning to Higher Education.
Intended for academics and practitioners leading and managing Higher Education, the conference will offer an opportunity to discuss the challenges and prospects for widening participation amongst adult learners in Higher Education. This timely conference will address this area of growing importance “towards the objective of ensuring that every student, whatever their background, has a fulfilling experience of higher education that enriches their lives and careers.”
Discussions at the conference will focus on strategic challenges relating to marketing and communications as well as academic issues around curriculum design and pedagogy, with the overall aim of providing an understanding of a variety of governmental strategies that enable widening participation, particularly for adult learners and learners from disadvantaged backgrounds, and how providers can successfully respond to these.
The conference will take place in the Emma Cons Hall from 9.30am – 3.30pm on 2 May. Tickets for the conference are available now. Full-cost tickets will be £75, but until Monday 8 April they are available for the Early Bird rate of £50. For more information and to book your tickets, visit our Event page.
