Morley and Point Blank host film scoring workshop
Morley has joined forces with Point Blank Music School, the number one electronic music school in London, to provide a two unique, co-taught, music technology learning experiences.
The first workshop, held in late November at Morley, explored composing, scoring and recording for film and was hosted by film composers Joel Cadbury (Sexy Beast, Unkle) and Peter Greyson (Terminator Genisys, The Inbetweeners 2) and sound engineer Joel Rubel (Games of Thrones, Steve Jobs).
The session took place in the Emma Cons hall which allowed for a live string recording session with Morley's orchestral students and utilised the on-site recording studio.
The next workshop, Music Production for Film and Live Performance, runs on 26 February 2016 and will be hosted by Point Blank. This workshop will explore electronic music and production techniques within film scores. Tickets are free but limited and available now.
