Discover Printmaking with us every Tuesday
If you've got some experience of Printmaking and want to extend your skills further, our new Tuesday Printmaking course is a great way to learn new techniques!
You'll learn from two highly experienced tutors - Michelle Avison, a painter and printer who is also our Head of Department for Printmaking, and Rob White, who has editioned prints for a number of artists including Tom Hammick and Grayson Perry. We've also established a link with Camberwell College of Art for this course, so you can also get expert tutorials and progression advice from Jo Love, the Head of MA Printmaking at Camberwell.
You can choose from two classes each Tuesday - one in the morning, between 10:00 and 13:00, and one in the afternoon, between 14:00 and 16:30 - and the classes kick off on Tuesday 12 September. The emphasis of the course will be on exploring how to extend your printmaking by using professional printing skills and through working in series, and a different subject will be covered each term. In the Autumn, you'll focus on black and white techniques and the skills required for etching and other intaglio processes, while in the Spring you'll be able to experiment with colour and relief printing, all in readiness for the Summer term, where you'll develop a personal project for an exhibition in Summer 2018. Drop in for a single term, or join us for the full year to get the very best out of your printmaking potential!
