New Opportunities with Morley Opera School

As we near the end of the academic year we look forward to the final performance of the Morley Opera School and new opportunities for the next year.

The Morley Opera School will be performing Opera Scenes from the 13 – 16 July in the Emma Cons Hall, including a matinee. Students will perform a range of works including Christoph Willibald Gluck,  Charles Gounod and Jules Massenet.

This year the Opera School is proud to announce the support of the Nicholas John Trust: it will provide a stipend of £3,000 for the role of Assistant Repetiteur. This is an early career opportunity for someone to gain experience in the field of opera, work with adult students and build up a network of professional, operatic contacts.

The Opera School will also be seeking a Senior Opera Coach. Find out about details of both roles on our Jobs page.

Under the leadership of Michalis Angelakis, the Opera School continues to grow in popularity and stature.  Much of the formula and structure remains similar with the bespoke nature of the course for a range of students with varying ambitions, and engaging the creative services of professional directors, language coaches and vocal coaches.

Morley Opera School is a long-established course with an illustrious history and reputation for quality and high standards.  It accepts students who are accomplished amateurs alongside those proceeding from graduate or postgraduate course en-route to the profession.  Read more about the ethos and structure of the course in OPERA  from July 2015.

Would you like to join the Morley Opera School? Auditions will be taking place on 16, 19, 22 July for the next academic year starting in September 2016. Find out more about the course and audition process
