Morley students in partnership with TfL

Morley College has created a new partnership with Transport for London (TfL) to give photography students the opportunity to document the changing landscape of Southwark.

The objective of the project is for students to capture moments in the life of the communities and businesses along the route of the North-South Cycle Superhighway as the project unfolds.

Not merely a ‘before and after’ exercise, TfL were looking for students to capture the feel of the area at a point in time when it is about to change dramatically: both physically and in the way life is lived on these streets.

The North-South Cycle Superhighway route runs from Elephant and Castle to Stonecutter Street, near Holborn Viaduct, and aims to improve safety for cyclists and road users.

The photos from the project can be view on the project website and will be updated as the works progress. There will also be an exhibition of the photos, details of which will be announced.
