Morley Forward

Morley Forward Logo BannerIf you haven’t heard of Morley Forward, it’s our comprehensive development plan to reposition Morley as a contemporary, world-class centre for adult learning through the refurbishment of our main site at Westminster Bridge Road. Our transformational project will create a fully accessible adult learning environment with greatly enhanced, contemporary and flexible facilities throughout.

Joanna Lumley MF ScreenWe launched Morley Forward on 10 September 2019 at a special event at County Hall, and among the guests in attendance was actress, author and activist Joanna Lumley, who has joined us as our Campaign Patron for the project. The project has three phases in total, with the first phase – remodelling our entryway and Reception, opening our new radio studios, and upgrading Morley Gallery – being largely delivered already.

Joanna Lumley MF StudentsThe second phase of the project will focus on redeveloping our performance spaces, including improving accessibility in the Emma Cons Hall, and upgrading our library to become a Learning Resource Centre for the 21st century, with plenty of open space, step-free access, digital learning pods, and both quiet study zones and social areas. This will then lead into our third phase, delivering a sympathetic restoration and re-landscaping of the large inner courtyard of the College to its original use as an accessible area for students and as an exciting new outdoor event space for the creative arts in London.

We will be funding the project through a variety of fundraising initiatives, managed by our Fundraising Campaign Director, Simon Farley. Find out more about Morley Forward here.
