Meet the Team - Quality and Standards
The Quality and Standards team support the Deputy Principal in the management of the College’s Quality Assurance and embedding of Quality Improvement systems. They support curriculum areas to ensure the College provides a high-quality teaching and learning experience for our students. The team also provides e-learning resource support to tutors, and facilitates the College’s Digital Inclusion training strategy.
Alexandra Cutler – Head of Learning and Teaching
Alex’s role provides leadership on all matters relating to learning, teaching and assessment at Morley to ensure that all students receive an outstanding learning experience. Alex supports the Deputy Principal to oversee successful implementation of the LTA Policy by promoting continuous enhancement of classroom practice and innovation in learning, teaching and assessment.
Helen Foster – Head of Quality and Standards
Helen is returning to College following maternity leave at the start of spring term 2019. She works to ensure the College’s compliance with regard to internal and external requirements, such as awarding bodies. Helen supports the Deputy Principal in the management of the College’s Quality Assurance and embedding of quality enhancement systems, and plays a key role in the preparation and management of external inspections.
Ishan Cader – Higher Education Development Coordinator
Ishan oversees the implementation of higher education qualifications in liaison with the Programme Managers and Heads of School. He ensures the quality of curriculum in line with the key HE regulatory bodies, organises HE-specific CPD for staff, and works on projects to widen participation and develop university partnerships.
Laurence Elliott – Digital Inclusion Development Coordinator
Laurence researches and disseminates information about current trends in digital learning and teaching and training opportunities, supports and provides staff training for digital technology resources including Moodle, Google Classroom learning platforms and OpenAthens portal. He also manages and supports internal/external digital technology projects, e.g. upskilling tutors with low digital skills and capabilities.
Susie Wright – Advanced Learning Development Co-ordinator
Susie is responsible for supporting quality enhancement for all Level 3 qualifications. She supports Level 3 admissions to ensure the best experience for students and is the key contact for OCN Access to HE. She provides assistance and support with specific quality issues identified by Advanced Learning teams.
Ewa Blundell (Mon, Tues, Fri am, Weds) – Quality and Standards Co-ordinator
Ewa looks after the feedback@morley mailbox, shares informal complaints received with PMs and logs formal complaints, manages the termly course evaluation and annual Morley Student Survey, and administers for the Digital Upskilling project.
Siobhan Downs (Tues am, Weds, Thurs) – Quality and Standards Co-ordinator
Siobhan provides administrative support for Advanced Learning, Higher Education and the Digital Inclusion project, as well as administering Advanced Learning initial assessments.
