Morley Gallery and the V&A Museum have announced the winners in this year's…
The winning works of art in the 2018 MADE exhibition have now been selected by a panel of judges at Morley.
This year’s exhibition showcases the work of our Sculpture and Painting and Drawing students, and our judges were very impressed with the pieces on display. Both categories were judged by Morley Gallery Manager Sim Panaser, Programme Manage for Sculpture Sheila Vollmer, and Programme Manager for Painting and Drawing Kate Wilson. The Painting and Drawing pieces were also judged by guest selector Narbi Price, a painter and printmaker who won the Contemporary British Painting Prize in 2017.
The winning works in each category are as follows:
“Composition” by Rachael Nicholson
“Automaton Bird Cage” by Sara Burgess
“Let’s Talk About This” by Jo Pearl
“Ibis” by Kim Thornton
“Lach Geadh” by Helen Aitchison
“Winter Creek” by George Christie
“Georgina” by Maggie Jarman
“Still Life with Lemon” by Angela Clemo
“In the Shadow” by Hannah Corrie
The exhibition is open in Morley Gallery from 26 February until 21 March. Browse our upcoming Painting and Drawing courses here, or our upcoming Sculpture courses here.
