Introductory Market Trader course

Ever thought of becoming a market trader? We’re offering a new introductory course in partnership with New Youthquake and Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

Learn more about business concepts you need to sell your goods in a market stall environment. The course covers the business concepts you need to sell your goods in a market stall environment. including the customer service and business planning elements of market trading. There is also an opportunity to put your skills to the test in a real market environment. The programme has links to the iconic Portobello and Golborne Market in West London.

Our two day session of the Market Trader course will be held on 24 and 25 May 2023. On completion of the course you’ll have the chance to apply your skills through the New Youthquake market (part of Portobello Market). The course is free for anyone aged 19 or over living or working in the borough. It will take place in Morley’s newly refurbished North Kensington Centre for Skills on Wornington Road, W10 5QQ.

The next New Youthquake market will launch in May 2023 through to December. It provides an opportunity to trade on Portobello and Golborne Market for a minimal fee. This is a great way for those who have just taken the course to apply their new skills in a market context. Once they have been fixed dates will be announced on the New Youthquake website.
