The Morley Printmaking department is delighted to announce they will be holding an exhibition in the Cardew Space and an auction in the new Foyer at Morley College, to raise money for two cancer charities: The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation and Marie Curie.

The exhibition and charity sale will honour the memory of three printmaking tutors, Richard Michell, Dorothea Wight and Magar Balakjian who were instrumental in developing the printmaking department at Morley and who all worked here for many years. The exhibition in the Cardew Space will include work by Magar, Dorothea and Richard and work made by staff and students in response to a department-wide project based on The Planets.

The auction will include work donated by past and present students of the printmaking department and the work of renowned artists who have either had a connection with the three artists or our department. The event will be a fantastic celebration of the Printmaking Department at Morley College, it's history and it's future prior to the opening of the newly accessible studios in 2020.

The auction will take place in the College Foyer 11 June 2019 18.00-20.00.
