Also known as Politiki Kouzina in Greek and A Touch of Spice in English, this 2003 film recounts the life of astronomy and astrophysics professor Fanis. It looks back on his childhood in Istanbul, the relationship with his grandfather, who teaches Fanis about the solar system through his own love of spices and culinary philosophy, and how Fanis retains his connection to his homeland after being deported to Greece.
