The Power of the Elder lecture and Group Process event by Eli Anderson and Charles Brown
Is there a critical role for the Elder in our communities?
We think there is.
The lecture and group process is designed to celebrate, but also raise the debate concerning the position of the Elder in our society. The critical role Elders must play includes concepts such as: Dignity, respect, Intergenerational knowledge, cultural and social capital. In our opinion, all these values are being seriously eroded.
This interactive lecture will examine the importance of intergenerational knowledge, and explore how this may be nurtured and communicated in and through our communities.
