Performance Workshop: Devising Theatre

Take part in our 3 hour Devising Theatre Workshop in May. Learn new techniques and ideas to take with you for your performances.

This intensive session will explore the basics of devising practices. You will be led through a process of researching and developing a new idea, and will be introduced to both physical and verbatim theatre techniques.

The workshop will be run by Artistic Director Melissa Booth from Portmanteau Theatre Company. Portmantau’s work is created from stories obtained through interviews and research. Through a collaborative approach to devising, they combine movement, verbatim and storytelling to create witty and bold theatre which explores socio-economic issues.
