Penny Lecture: Fibreshed – Soil to Soil Textiles, Regenerative Agriculture and Community

Join us for a talk by Deborah Barker Director of Field & Folk and Director and Co Founder of the Southeast England Fibreshed to explore how the fibreshed movement in the UK is working to create a regional regenerative fashion and textile ecosystem for the 21st century. This talk forms part of Morley’s Sustainability Week activities.

Deborah works at the intersection of fashion, textiles and regenerative agriculture. From her natural dye studio in Sussex she collaborates with farmers and independent designers. Current projects include experiential farm visits for fashion students sponsored by the Lissome Magazine, developing and managing a series of regenerative farming events for the High Weald AONB and Dyed in the Wool: working with designers and farmers in the Southeast of England to explore the potential of regional wool. She is a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and contributed to the RSA Regenerative Futures programme.
