Landing Gallery: Haikus made at Morley
November 10, 2016 @ 12:00 am - January 21, 2017 @ 12:00 am
In this exhibition you can enjoy haikus written by students and staff in Morley College’s poetry courses. And you can also try to compose one yourself.
Haiku is a Japanese poetry form. You use just a few words to capture a moment and create a picture in the reader’s mind. It is like a small window opening into a scene much larger than itself. Traditionally haiku is written in three lines, with five syllables in the first line, seven syllables in the second line, and five syllables in the third line.
