Aimed for academics and practitioners leading and managing Higher Education, the conference offers an opportunity to discuss the challenges and prospects for widening participation amongst adult learners in higher education. This timely conference will address this area of growing importance ‘towards the objective of ensuring that every student, whatever their background, has a fulfilling experience of higher education that enriches their lives and careers.’
Focusing on strategic challenges relating to marketing and communications as well as academic issues around curriculum design and pedagogy, the aims of the conference are to provide focus on how a variety of governmental strategies are enabling widening participation, particularly for adult learners and learners from disadvantaged backgrounds, and how providers can successfully respond to these.
